!The last hurdle of the route to O level comes to an end. Now, it's only the last stretch of 10 metres for us to give it the last push till we reach finishing line of secondary school. I have to say, it's been a difficult time for all of us. The stress, the pressure, the anxiety, the eagerness, the endurance and so much more..... My eyes are not set on the last goal, the last 1 month and 6 days! The next 3 days will be spend on script checking, i do hope the results will come out fine. Well, my target is below 10 and this will definitely be a boost to my O's preparation. hahaha, just hope for the best. :) I guess even if i did badly, i still have to accept it and it's my results afterall. Like what Mr Julian Teo said, O's is not everything, although we have to mug hard, there's still other things we have to put in mind. Maybe it's the cleanliness of the classrooms to him but for me, it will be a positive heart in the belief for our teachers who will guide us to the right path for the right results in O's.Furthermore, good news to me is that, i have my L1 1 secure, just believe in your hardwork if u did put in. I guess i'm becoming random here....... Nevertheless, i should be happy today! I saw the name that i'm looking for so long. happy happy! hehehe......remember, SUCCESS IS PREPARATION MEETS THE OPPORTUNITY! The success of some men bewilders those around them because they never seem to work, or to work for any length of time. Their secret is their power to concentrate, and thus to obtain the maximum of results with the minimum of apparent effort.
“Concentration”, say Emerson, “is the secret of success in politics, in war, in trade, in short in all management of human affairs.”
Concentration is a habit of mind. Men are not born equal in their power of concentration any more than in their power of playing billiards. But up to a point every one can improve his power in every direction. This is the age of specialists. Remember that concentration is necessary not only to do things, but to select what to do. In these days no one can achieve great distinction unless he concentrates on some one thing.
It must be remembered that concentration is an exhausting mental and physical business for those who are unaccustomed to it. Therefore, to begin with, the strain should not be too prolonged. Attention should be relaxed for a suitable period. In other words, the habit should be gradually formed. Brisk, vigorous concentration for a quarter of an hour on the first day may be gradually expanded into two hours or more at the end of a month. The essence of concentration is that the full powers of the mind and body cannot accomplish this to the best advantage, and in the case of children and young people harm may result from prolonged efforts.

hi guys! it's rare to see me here now right! hahah, definitely i guess, O level is round the corner and i'm still spending time on blogging? ~crap! hahah well, i'm just taking this opportunity to share some of my thoughts. it's quite confine for me recently since daily routining is becoming some how tasteless.nevertheless, perseverence still will last till the end of the last stretch of race. our 4 years of preparation cannot go down the drain, right?look at all the teachers, they stay back almost everyday to set papers and give us distinction questions. well, let this exam repay them their fruits of labour hopefully. All of us ought to be able to brace ourselves for the predictable challenges and setbacks that crop up every day. If we expect that life won't be perfect, we'll be able to avoid that impulse to quit. But even if you strong enough to persist the obstacle course of life and work, sometimes you will encounter an adverse event that will completely knock you on your back.
Whether it’s a financial loss, the loss of respect of your peers or loved ones, or some other traumatic event in your life, these major setbacks leave you doubting yourself and wondering if things can even change for the better again.
Adversity happens to all of us, and it happens all the time. Some form of major adversity is either going to be there or it’s lying in wait just round the corner. To ignore adversity is to succumb to the ultimate self-delusion.
But you must recognize that history is full of examples of men and women who achieved greatness despite facing hurdles so steep that easily could have crashed their spirit and left them lying in the dust. Abraham Lincoln overcomes a difficult childhood, depression, the death of two sons, and constant ridicule during the Civil War to become arguably greatest president ever. Helen Keller made an impact on the world despite being deaf, dumb, and blind from an early age. Franklin Roosevelt had polio.
There are endless examples. These were people who not only looked adversity in the face but learned valuable lessons about overcoming difficult circumstances and were able to move ahead.
