Today, we witnessed the arrival of another zone champion after our volleyballer. As we all had expected, the return of the key players indeed played a part in clinching the title. The little failure we had actually meant to be a wake up call for those idiot(as in attitude) out there. To have a clearer sense what should be inbuilt for them in cultivating a good value, followed by a decent character. LogicI had a conversation with someone recently regarding good players and great players. A point of view was made then, in fact it is true that everyone can be a good player when he or she willing to make an effort enduring through the different stages of training. The trainings ranging from physical to mental by means of bringing different situation into the ground, onto the field. Face the pressure and push yourself up for the challenges and overcome the mental blocks at obstacles. For a good player, one may need just a subtle amount of difficulties in training and in a small country where we stood, it is quite guarantee you will at least be able to make it through the Average Joes, or sometimes, making it top to the peak. Yet, why do our coach insisted us to train the extra ten percent transcend from our optimum? Of course, you might think it is to let us have something to fall back on when your form was not at peak, there was still 100percent to take on the fight. This was a rational thinking somehow but to me, what impacted me more was training the extra ten percent was to bring out the inner strength that was hidden in the forbidden city of our body. Just like our brain which we could only use a fraction of it. It is the inner strength that brought us to the prime of our sports, at the same time, there was something more important coming alongside with it. Character, one of those most importance components of a person's composition that helped to build the value and
significance of self. A player without a good character is like a body without it's soul! Basic habit of just conscientiously tucking shirt and not wearing ankle socks in school may counted as trivial yet there was a colossal connection to the character of the person. A simple act of a person without the surveillance of anyone best reflects the personality. Hence, there's a saying to catch you when no one is watching. Back to life, someone asked me this question. "Who is the best friend of ongey?"At that point of time, the world of mine freezes! I could tell you, my mind is stagnant by then, no thoughts, no clues. I'm absolutely lost. Basically, I could not find a good argument to rebate the question. As a reflect back to days when i just entered the school, everyone seen so new and distant. I did have this idea wondering if i had ended up in a wrong school though. I just could not get use to the environment fully soaked, penetrated with MALE! It was indeed quite a challenge for me to overcome that difficult times and found friends who i believed, are true to me. Being a older one, it was hard to have the same mindset of people younger than you, what i found lucky was i inherited a good pair of eyes and ears. They enabled me to observe and listen to my environment, making good judgements at different times. I could confess that my life would not be as interesting if i were to land in the mainstream. Being part of the sports class not only brought my joy of enjoying sports, also, it indulged me to my passion of running about, made my limbs work to the rate they were capable of. Besides sports, i knew i found people who truly cared and concerned about me. People who i called them friends. People who will share moments of joy and sadness with. People who you rely on other than your close kins. This is not kinship, instead it was known as a brotherhood that bonded our hearts together, regardless of our differences. What we called love, through our words and actions that touches our hearts which once kept only to ourselves. Therefore, I could only thank for the presence of your guys who have always been the pillars of strength, the stronghold which keeps me standing, the hands that always willing to help, and the words always prepared to console, the ears always listen to every single portion of me. Nothing, but just the link.
